Publishing iOS App from Xcode to Apple Store

i am newbie to iOS development. i have rails app which i want to put it on iStore first for testing and then to general people. Before I started to ask this question i have checked other relevant question. i have a company developer account. What i did Link which i am referring to there are lot of places where its not clear. Is there step by step guide for whole process. Which can lead me from adding my developer id to Xcode to creating ipa file which i can test on real iOS device. Also how can perform inspect element for iOS devices for my current app. To clarify what I mean by that is if I launch a app on iPhone how can see what are various things happening in regards to this given app, for example What calls its making, which element comes from which css file and so on.
