Is Xcode continuous integration server and development on the same machine possible.?

I wish to establish a Xcode CI server on my mackbook using XCode 5. I also have xcode 6 installed on my machine.

Is it possible to use xcode 5 for CI and keep using the xcode 6 for development ? Are there any complications involved.. Or will it work fine. It would be great if any reference links are available.
