I'm novel QA and I wanted to ask you how can I test a SSL/TLS connection for a Java project?

• How can I'm be sure that the communication established with a browser or a mobile device (android/iphone) is actually encripted?


• How can I be sure that it won't be possible to do a man-in-the-middle attack?


• Could you please recommend open tools to test this?


• Could be possible to integrate these test as unit test?


• Is it possible to (in some how) automated test for SSL and execute them with Jenkins?
