apple-touch-icon and apple-itunes-app tag not working

i added both to my website but both dose't work below you can find what i add exactly

<meta name="apple-itunes-app" content="app-id=(the app ID)">

and also this :

<link rel="apple-touch-icon" href="/images/touch-icon-iphone.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="76x76" href="/images/touch-icon-ipad.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="120x120" href="/mritems/assets/images/touch-icon-iphone-retina.png">
<link rel="apple-touch-icon" sizes="152x152" href="/images/touch-icon-ipad-retina.png">

both dos't work shall i add more thing to it ? anything wrong with this ?
