Detect when iOS connects to a new WiFi BSSID/AP?

Is there a way to detect when iOS connects to a new BSSID?

I'm working on an app that needs to respond to BSSID changes, preferably also when it's in the background.

(On Android I'm using ConnectivityManager and WifiManager to do the same thing. Basically, I want something similar to this [1] but on iOS.)
