Not able to access subviews from storyboard

I have a UIVewcontrollerObject in storyboard. I have added an image view and 2 labels in the view and created the IBOutlet connection But i'm not able to set values to these subviews. when i log the objects, it printing a null value. How can i solve this. any idea ?
