Magnet Positioning using iPhone's Magnetometer

So recently, someone has developed a new way to properly locate a magnet's location on the iPhone screen (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fJlgDIO3oL8). I want to test that out myself, how exactly would you able to use the iPhone's Accelerometer and Magnetometer to locate the magnet?
